BASIC RULES
- Armies will consist of 2000 points using a standard force organization chart. The Warhammer 40k 4th Edition Rules will be used.
- Adepticon FAQ 2008 will be consulted when necessary.
- Rules and Army Lists marked as "Trial", "Optional", or "Opponent's Permission" are not allowed. In addition.
- Imperial Armor units may not be used. (With the exception of those which are simply another model from a unit in a 40k codex)
- Special Characters are allowed, assuming that they are playable at 2,000 pts.
- All models MUST be fully painted. Any army with one unpainted model will be awarded a "0" score for appearance.
- What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG). If you wish to use an option that is a weapon (eg: Powerfist) or a means of transportation (eg: Jump pack), you must show it on the model. All other pieces of wargear do not have to be modeled, but players who do will recieve a bonus on thier appearance score. Just remember "weapons and wings" and you will be fine.
- You must provide access to your own rules (which include the actual Codex(s) used for your army or supplementary approved material.), dice, templates, pen/pencil, calculator, or anything else you'll need during the course of regular play.
- A separate printed army list is required for the judges and each of your opponents.
- All missions will conform to standard 40k rules. No Apocalypse, no Junglefight, no Cityfight.
- Points will be accumulated through Battle, Army Composition, and Army appearance. Special bonuses will be provided based on player feedback on sportsmanship and appearance.
- All rulings of tournament judges are final.
Questions about these rules or the tournament in general should be sent to simcon40k@gmail.com
