These were our 2017 Tournament Rules.  2018 rules are not yet available

New for 2017 we are bringing the beloved game of Blood Bowl to Da Boyz.   If you haven’t played before Blood Bowl brings Warhammer and the NFL together in a fast paced tactical game.    We will run a Friday   tournament that is meant to be relaxed and fun even if you aren’t a Blood Bowl expert.  This event is definitely open to people with little or no experience with Blood Bowl.    We will have extra teams available – please contact us in advance if you would like to use one. We can also design a team roster for you so you can just show up and play.

NAF membership is encouragedbut not required.  It will be offered at a discounted price of $5 per entrant at the event.  This will entitle you to this years NAF membership gift which will likely be mailed to you by the NAF after the event

Questions –  please title any questions with ‘Da Boyzbloodbowl’ as this email address gets a lot of traffic for more then one tournament.

3 Games total

This is a “resurrection” style tournament meaning injured players are brought back to full health before each game.

If a game is not at halftime by the 75 minute mark we will ask the players to use a 4 minute turn timer.

We will allow all 21 GW Teams, the Brettonnian ‘unofficial’ team and the NAF* Slann.  The GW teams are found in Deathzone Season 1, with updates in Deathzone Season 2 and in the teams of legend PDF on the GW Blood Bowl website:

The NAF Slann team can be found at

The Brettonian team can be found at

1         Million gold to build your team.

Skills Access:

Your team brought to the event can not purchase extra skills.   You will randomly be assigned additional skills as the tournament progresses.

Prior to game 1:   Roll additional skills as below using the upgrade table in Deathzone season 2.  You can indeed get a stat increase. This roll should occur before the TO or your first round opponent.      Document these skills on your team list and have your opponent initial them.

TIER 1: Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Lizardman, Norse, Orc, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elf
TIER 2: Chaos, Chaos Pact, Elf, High Elf, Human, Khemri, Nurgle, Slann
TIER 3: Halfling, Goblin, Ogre, Underworld, Vampire
Skills are awarded to each team as follows:

Tier 1: 1 player of your choice makes a roll

Tier 2: 2 players of your choice maximum of one roll per player

Tier 3: 3 players of your choice maximum of one roll per player

Before game 2 and 3 your team will develop additional skills.  Pick 3 players to be your potential ‘MVP’ and randomly allocate one of the three of them to get a roll on the skill table.   Then randomly pick one of your remaining players from the entire team to also get a roll on the skill table. By definition the MVP can not get two skill upgrades from the same game.      Document these skills on your team list and have your 2nd round opponent initial them.

We will use NAF Tournament rules (and any rules updates by them up until 1 week from the tournament) you may use any inducements you like up to the cost limit your team.  However  we will not be using any star players:
